What is a BB cream?
BB cream stands for Blemish Balm, or Blemish Base.
It's an all in one, multi-tasking, product.
It's a moisturizer, primer, foundation, and sunblock all in one.
They come in limited colors and similar to a tinted moisturizer.
I have Garnier Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfecter B.B. Cream in the shade Light/Medium
You can pick this up pretty much at any store for around $13.
I'm an NC20 in MAC for reference.
Look at all that moisture!
Blended, it leaves a dewy sheen.
I really like BB creams for their no-fuss application. Who wants to do primer, foundation, setting powder, SPF, yadda-yadda-yadda when you can just apply an all-in-one product and call it a day? Especially when you have kids.
The Garnier BB cream is one of those products where people either love it or hate it.
It doesn't have a wide selection of colors. Just Light/Medium or Medium/Dark (I think) and that one wasn't that much darker than the one I picked up.
If you have ever used Garnier, you know they have a distinct smell for their products. This cream is no exception. It smells. I don't hate it, but I wish it didn't smell at all.
It does linger for quite a while.
The product itself has a light coverage that's good for the summer weather. It could also work for the winter months because it is definitely moisturizing.
Being super moisturizing it probably wouldn't work for those with oily skin. I have combo/oily skin and it works fine for me. I do have to blot my T zone a little more though. I also use a setting powder and that helps.
Overall, I like this product, but I wish it didn't have a scent. And it does have a greasier feel around my T zone.
Have you tried Garnier's BB cream? What did you think? Do you have a favorite BB cream? Let me know.
