Candles by Victoria

Who doesn't love a good candle?

With scents like: Pink Cupcake, Georgia Peach, and Coco Mango, my mouth is watering!

I stumbled upon Candles by Victoria through watching youtube videos and I thought this is something I need to looking into.
I absolutely love candles!

I've been enjoying my candles from Slatkin & Co from Bath and Body Works and they have an assortment, but nothing compared to Candles by Victoria.
With over 700 scents to choose from, how do you choose?
I have no idea. I want to buy and try them all. haha.

CBV candles come in a 9oz jar for $8.50 or a 16oz jar for $12.50. They also have a surprise 8oz candle for $7.25 for those who just can't decide what scent to try, or the 4oz mini for $5.

If candles are not enough, CBV also sells scent shots and tart warmers.

They have Fruity scents, Bakery scents, Christmas scents, Perfume and Cologne scents...pretty much if you can think it, they got it.
I'm so glad I stumbled across CBV, I'm seeing some major hauls in the near future.

With a  100% guarantee to their costumers, I don't see how you could go wrong.

Have you tried CBV? What are some of your favorite scents? Give me some ideas, I don't even know were to start! Haha.

*CBV is having a 10% off sale right now with the code CBVICTORIA at checkout.*
*They are also having a blog contest to win a $50 gift certificate!*
Go Check out their website.

*PS-I think they only offer shipping in the US and Canada*

My Sephora Friends & Family haul

My Sephora Friends & Family package arrived yesterday and it was like an early Christmas for me.
It didn't come until the very last second, I kept checking my front door numerous times and even heard the UPS truck take off and checked and nothing! Ugh. But then I checked one last time and there it was in all it's glory. That UPS guy is sneaky....lol.

Here we go.

I've been planning on purchasing a Clarisonic for a while, and was going to for sure pick one up at the end of this month and viola! F&F sale! Score. I originally wanted the Lavender one, but this Berry colored one had an awesome deal with it. It was $119 ( Like all Mia's) but came with a ton of free goodies. So, $119 for about $200 worth total with the extra freebies, with 20% off and 4% cash back through Ebates.com....I don't know about you, but that equals a pretty darn good deal in my book.

All my goodies, minus my Mia, she was charging. lol

This is what I got for free with my Berry Mia.
A full size Boscia face cleanser! Sweet. This is supposed to be about $26! It also came with a moisturizer, a pore refiner, and a few face peel kits. Pretty nice.

I also picked up some NARS. I wasn't planning on purchasing the NARS Danmari cheek palette, I was going to pick up a different gift set, but I saw some swatches and pictures and instantly changed my mind. Who could pass up six blushes/bronzer!? Especially when two full sized ones would equal the price of this....plus the sale of course, even better. So I had to have it. It is stunning. Even if you have a couple of the full size blushes in this palette, it's still a great deal. With the sale, it makes each pan less than $10 each.
I also got two polishes, Bad Influence and Pokerface. I couldn't pass that deal up, $8 when they are originally $17? Had to have it. LOL

A close up of my NARS Danmari palette.

And that was my small haul.
What did you get at the F&F sale? Are you planning on purchasing anything? The sale lasts until Nov. 2, and if you're buying online, don't forget a site like Ebates!

TheBalm-Balm Shelter-tinted moisturizer review and swatch.

I love tinted moisturizers.
I've tried a few and I must say this one is by far my favorite one yet.

TheBalm-Balm Shelter tinted moisturizer with SPF 18
2.15fl retails at Sephora for about $25, or if you get lucky like I did, you can get this at TJ Maxx for around $13.

When I found this at TJ Maxx they had a whole stack of these, but only in the shade light. I was hesitant to purchase because this was in the summer and I was pretty tan, but I figured the light would work in the winter. It actually works really well, granted I'm not as tan as I was, but it blends out really well and works great for my NC20-25 skin.

I use this when I don't feel like using a foundation, and I always set it with my MAC MSF natural for a little more coverage. It has a light non-sticky texture, but it does smell like sunscreen and the smell lingers for quite a while. I happen to like that scent. LOL. It reminds me of summer among other things. *I'll tell ya the story when I'm allowed to mention it-In March, blah*

Blended out. It leaves your skin looking dewy and fresh. It doesn't leave a heavy tint like my MAC tinted moisturizer does. I love this stuff and now I wish I would have picked up a couple more. haha.
I give this an A.

What are some of your favorite tinted moisturizers?

Bath & Body Works-A budget friendly haul.

When I first thought about doing this blog I was going to mention that someone needs to revoke my Bath & Body Works privileges because I shop there way too much, but then I remembered how great of a deal I got and scrapped that idea.
I have a shopping addiction, I also have a budget that I stick to each month so I've learned how to get what I want for the price that I want.
Here we go.

My box of goodies.

I got this 4oz Peach Bellini candle that smells divine for $3.80 it's originally $10.

I've been wanting one of these candle sleeves for a while and to me $5 was just too much, but $2 was perfect.

I have a soft spot for black cats, so much that we have one, his name is Nermal.
So I had to pick this up, he is normally $5.50 and I got him for $2.20.

I got two of these mini candles that are normally $3.50 each, sometimes they'll have deals like 3 for $5. I got these for $1.40 each.

These 8oz body scrubs are supposed to be $14each and I got them for $2.80 each!

I got these two pocket bacs for $.60 each. *Note: BBW is having an awesome deal on Halloween pocket bacs right now for as low as $.38!*

I also picked up these for $1.40 each and they were originally $7 each.

BBW always sells their new preview scent for a $1, if you like the scent, it is wise to pick up a few of these because the price per once is cheaper than picking up a large size. I got this for $.80.

My order total should have been $90 minus tax and shipping.
My total that I actually paid was $30, shipped, plus cash back for ordering through Ebates.com.

To get what you want for the price that you want, you have stalk your prey....wait for sales, combine sales with coupons and shop through a site like Ebates that gives you cash back.
Instead of getting items when they first come out, wait. They will go on sale and for items like the Halloween collection, they are on sale and clearance right now and Halloween hasn't even passed yet. You can always find coupons on Retailmenot.com.

XO

October Birchbox

My October Birchbox is finally here, after sitting at the post office for about 5 days..
I tried cheating and looking up my info on my account and they didn't have any info posted so I actually had no clue what I was getting this month. I did, however, turn to youtube and get a sneak peak of some boxes.

My Box was labeled BB#8

All my goodies.

The first thing I got was Ahava Mineral Hand Cream. A full 3.4oz sells for $20. TJ MAXX sells Ahava and I see it there all the time, so if I like this, I'm heading to TJ's. lol.

The second item I received was this Laura Geller Spackle Tinted Under Makeup Primer in Bronze.
A full 2oz of this sells for $25.
Funny thing about this is I just got a Smashbox tinted primer in this color and I got it for free at Sephora, and I'm thinking the Smashbox one is more expensive...
I love the Smashbox one, so I'm excited to compare the two.

My next item is Sunday Riley Modern Skincare Juno Transformative Lipid Serum.
A full 30ml of this sells for $125!
Apparently celebrities and models love and swear by this stuff.. I on the other hand, am not rich and probably, PROBABLY will not purchase this, unless, of course it has magical properties and turns me into a super model...ha.
It's supposed to replenish, firm, and protect skin. We shall see...

I got this Ouidad Moisture Lock Leave-in Conditioner.
A full 6oz sells for $18.
I got Ouidad in my August box, and I liked it, so we'll see how this conditioner works.
You can find these products on Hautelook alot, so you can get these at discounted prices.

I don't know why this picture turned sideways...but I can't fix it now that I'm actually blogging, so forgive me.
My card didn't say I was getting an extra, but I got this Ahava foot cream and they were not listed on my card, so an extra.
I really hope I like Ahava, because, like I said, TJ Maxx. lol.

My Overview:

I looked at all the other boxes before I got my box, and maybe I shouldn't have. I thought my box was okay, I pretty much have tried everything in it, just with different brands. I was really hoping I'd get something from Stila, like the eyeshadow or mascara, even though I have about 200 mascaras that I need to try before I could even get to it. haha.
It wasn't a bad box, and I'm curious to see if I turn into a model. LOL.

And now for a bonus.
I just wanted to share that I entered into a contest and just for entering I was sent this Clean Start by Dermalogica starter kit.
I am super excited to try this kit. I've heard wonderful things about Dermalogica. I'll give a review after I've used it for a while.

The first two steps from the kit are 1.7oz and the moisturizer is .5oz. A good travel size kit.

Alright.
What did y'all get in your Birchbox? Love it? Hate it? Let me know in the comments.

The Guy Who Died But Didn't Really Die-TheBalm and the Beautiful swatches.

Look what I got my hands on, The Balm and the Beautiful palette. Omg. I LOVE this palette. <3

I love TheBalm's packaging, and I love all the clever names they came up with.

The palette in all its glory. Ahhhhhh. lol.

The Oil Tycoon-The Estranged Mom-The Supermodel-The Bad Boy.

Another close up of all the beautiful colors.

The Southern Belle-The Mother in law-The guy who died but didn't really die-The Mistress
Second Row: The Step Brother-The Coma Patient-The Police Man-The Brain Surgeon

The Neighbor-The Stock Broker-The Basket Case-The Older Woman
And lipstain/blush in The Drama Queen and The Perfect Man and lipgloss in The Evil Twin.

The Oil Tycoon-The Estranged Mom-The Supermodel-The Bad Boy.

The Southern Belle-The Mother in law-The guy who died but didn't really die-The Mistress

The Drama Queen-The Perfect Man -The Evil Twin

The Step Brother-The Coma Patient-The Police Man-The Brain Surgeon

All the shadows are super pigmented, I used this palette for a look today and they had awesome staying power and no creasing, I did use a primer.

I found this palette at TJ MAXX for $19.99, so if you get a chance go check it out, this is an incredible deal. I don't think this palette has even been released yet. It's also an exact dupe of the Muppets palette TheBalm has just released.
I'm super excited that I found this and at TJ MAXX of all places, I love that place. LOL.
You should be able to pick this up at Sephora for $44.50 once it's released if you can't find it at TJ's.

September Favorites

It's October already!? Where does the time go!? It feels like it should still be the beginning of the year to me...Ugh. Lol.
Alright, I guess I should move on now.
Here we go.

My first favorite for September is the book Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead.
I've been eyeing this book for a while, since last year, but I didn't pick it up until now. It's a young adult novel, but I really like it. I've always been obsessed with Vampires and the supernatural. FYI-I was a vampire almost every year growing up, before Vampires were considered "cool." Lol. There is just something alluring about being immortal, to me. Haha. * Bahahahaha- I totally meant for Halloween, I'm not a vampire, although I wish I was. *

Next up is this Bath & Body Works candle in Frosted Cupcake.
I had to refrain from adding all my BBW collection from this post. I decided to only add the products that I've used as of yet, otherwise I might as well link the BBW site. ha.

Apple Crumble-BBW candle.
I really really LOVE this scent. I normally don't like spicy scents too much and this does have a spicy scent, but it's just the right amount. I think of fall when I burn this and I love it! I love the tartness of the apples, it's just perfect for burning on those chilly fall mornings.
I need to get a backup of this asap!

My next favorite has to be my overall favorite.
This is the most gorgeous purse I've ever seen. Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating, but I do LOVE this purse.
It's a Jessica Simpson bag and I picked it up at TJ MAXX for $50! Awesome deal, and they still have it there if you're interested. It's perfect for the fall.

EOS lip balm.
I had this lip balm before and my two year old got a hold of it and ate most of it. Eeek! It does taste pretty good though, I must admit.
I got this at walmart for about $3. I think it's in summer fruit.

Another BBW item!
Mmmmmmm.
Forbidden Apple.
YUM. It tastes soooo good. I am an apple kinda girl. It tastes like a candy apple from the fair or something and I love it. That alone has won me over, hands down.
It goes on very smooth and is not sticky at all and lasts for days. It also has a sheer red tint to it. And it's from their Halloween collection and on sale right now for $5.

Next up is this Physicians Formula liquid eyeliner plus eyelash boosting serum.
I didn't think this was going to live up to its claim of seeing 100% results, but I must admit, I have seen some lash growth after using this for awhile and I am impressed. I love this stuff.

I've heard rave reviews for this product and finally decided to give it a try.
I honestly can't say I see a major difference in the amount of puffiness under my eyes, but I do love that the little roller ball is made of metal and is super cool on my skin. I just want to keep rolling it over and over and over.

I got this Clinique eyebrow crayon free when I purchased my moisturizer and it's in the shade blonde, and I'm a brunette, but my eyebrows are really light and most brown colors are too dark for me so this ended up being a perfect shade for me. It also has a highlight on the other end.

Oh, look, BBW again.
I got this cute little guy because I love owls and I needed something for my little candles.
He was $5.50, I think.

Oh, BBW, and another owl! LOL.
And the scent I'm using is Apple Crumble, of course.

I've been using my Viva La Juicy perfume pretty much the whole month of September.
It's fruity and I love fruit. Perfect.

I've been using this Biore warming anti-blackhead cream cleanser and I love that it gets really warm when your rub it on your face. It doesn't stay warm long enough though. It smells pretty good. I got this at walmart for $5 or so..

I used MAC's well dressed blush the most in September.
I'm actually looking for new blushes so if y'all have any recommendations let me know in the comments.

Another lip product that I used in September was MAC's lipglass in Love child.

I wore MAC's All that Glitters alot in September. It's my go-to, don't know what to wear, shade.

What were some of your favorites for September?
