Nail Of The Day

I love this minty green/blue color by Essie in the shade Mint Candy Apple.
I also added gold gitter by Essie in the shade Golden Nuggets. I added glitter tips and covered my accent nail all the way in glitter. I love it. What do you think? Cute? No?

Product reviews for the Birch Box and Eco Emi

I thought I should do some product reviews today since I've used most of the products from my BB and EE boxes.

The June Jacobs papaya enzyme mask smells sooooo good! The scent alone pretty much sold me, I love it. The product goes on smoothly and makes your face feel so moist and soft. I left it on for about 10 minutes and rinsed it off. It left my face feeling nice and soft. I would repurchase this. I still have alot of product left as a little goes a long way.

I loved the elastic hair tie, but unfortunatly, I already lost it!! Ugh! The only issue I had with this is you could only tie it around your hair twice, it worked wonders on a low pony but not a high one, as I need to tie it around three times to secure it up high. I might repurchase these. Oh, and they leave no creases in your hair! Major plus.

I did try the Cool Fix razor bump gel. I don't suffer from ingrown hairs or razor bumps, but I tried it out anyway. It makes your skin have this cool senstion, hence the name. It felt pretty nice and smells good too. My husband likes this product alot.

The Ouidad hair gel had a nice, not too sticky consistancy. It smelled pretty good and didn't leave my hair, or hands for that matter, sticky.
I have wavy, frizzy, out of control hair when I don't straighten it and this seemed to help control and define the curls I do have...I also straightend my hair and it seems to help the frizziness. It made my hair feel really silky and smooth. I might repurchase this, but I'm always trying out new anti-frizz products and can't commit! lol.

The Smash Box Photo Primer felt really smooth and non sticky and had a nice scent. It glides on smooth and feels silky to the touch. A little bit goes a very long way. I really liked this product, it helped smooth out my face and helped my foundation glide on smooth and lasted all day. I would repurchase this, but I'd like to try out other primers as well.

Now, with the EE box.

I already stated in my EE haul that most of the products smelled like pine trees and I pretty much hated it.
I tried burning the candle and I found out the scent is supposed to be Lavander and Vanilla. It sounds pretty, but I guess I'm just not into the floral scent, I'm more of a fruity person. I let it burn for a couple of hours and it's half way gone so you'd probably get a couple more hour burn use out of this tea candle. I can't say I would repurchase this as I have no clue about it! That is the Eco Emi bonus box downfall, they do not tell you about the products and this one didn't have a name or anything on the candle.

I tried out the rice facial cleanser today and I do like the scent on this. It had a lemon scent and smelled clean. It also has exfoliating grains in it and I liked that. My skin feels clean and doesn't feel tight at all. I liked this product.

I also tried out the truffle face cream and I found out it does have a slight scent once you start using it. I can't really put my finger on it, but I didn't hate it. It's not a strong scent at all. I used this around my eyes where crows feet would be...and no crows feet! Not that I can say it helps get rid of them, because I don't have them to start with, but maybe it'll help prevent them. It went on smooth and is non greasy. I don't think I would repurchase this, just because I use moisturizer everyday anyway and their are cheaper options, maybe when I get older?

The homemade soap, I have used this and I just can't tolerate the smell! It smells so manly, not a girly scent at all. I like it when my hubby uses it but not for me.

I tried the deoderant on my hubby, because, once a again, it smells soooo manly! Its orange and lavander and you would think that would smell girly but it doesn't. It emits a strong scent and works to cover up any body odor so it does it's job.

I didn't get to try out the noodles because my 2 year old ripped open the package and spilled it all over the floor! I didn't realize how much product you get....it's alot! lol.

That's all the products I've tried from EE. I'm not really sold on the EE box, I think it is a nice concept being eco friendly but it's not for me. I wouldn't use most of the products just because of the scents alone.

I totally love the Birch Box and I'm looking forward to next months box.

Any thoughts? Comments? Want me to do more reviews? hauls? You name it.

Eco Emi-Bonus Box

Hello hello!

Today I have a little haul/review on the Eco Emi bonus box.

When I was looking around on youtube and found out about Birch Box, I also came across Eco Emi. Eco Emi is a product sampling company similar to Birch Box, but is more of a lifestyle box than a beauty box. Eco Emi is also all organic and enviromentally friendly.

Eco Emi is a $15 a month subscription and you recieve 5-10 products, sometimes you will get lucky and score a full sized product.

I also want to mention they only take a certain amount of subscribers and at the moment they are booked. You have to join a waiting list if you are interested in joining, BUT they have a Bonus Box that you can purchase for $14 and it's a mixed box of products from months past that they had leftover to help those on the waiting list from going crazy. Lol.
The boxes come in eco friendly reuseable bags and come with a card explaining what products you have recieved. If you purchase the Bonus Box, they do not give you a card explaining your products and will not be as nicely packaged.

Here we go!

The Eco Emi bag, unboxed. It ships in a normal mailing box and once you open it, this is inside.
A cloth bag that can be used for storage or whatever you see fit.

The first product was Salubritas all natural deodorant balm in the scent Orange Lavender.
A full size costs $10.99 and a sample size like mine is $1.99
Their website says this could be for a man or a woman.
I don't really think this scent is for me, I will probably get my husband to try this out. I am curious to see if it actually works.

My second item came in this cute little reusable bag. I'm probably going to use this to hold my rings.
It was OM Creme Luxe-White truffle face cream.
A 2oz full size of this is $72.
It is supposed to be anti-aging and of course all natural.
It doesn't really have a strong scent, if a scent at all.

My third product was NEUMA moisture shampoo/condition/and argan treatment.
This is a veagan, sulfate, and paraben free company.
A full size shampoo is $24
A full size condition is $24
A full size Argan treatment is $22

Next is this Pangea Organics -Japanese Matcha Tea w/ Acai & Goji Berry facial mask.
I am excited to try this! Birch Box also carries this brand in their boxes and I've been wanting to try something by this company, and I love facial masks.
A 2oz full size of this runs $30.

Next up is Lauren Brooke Cosmetics lipgloss in Winterberry.
A full size tube is $8

Next is this handmade Auromere soap in the scent Sandalwood-Turmeric with Neem.
A full bar is only about $3
I think this is pretty cool and cheap considering it's handmade and all natural. I do not like the scent though, it smells pretty manly, so I think I'll give this to my husband. :0)

Next is this candle that I have no clue about. Lol. I remember seeing this on youtube and it's a soy candle but I have no clue who makes it or the scent.
I noticed everything smells similar in scent, with everything being all natural and I do not like it. Everything smells like the forest and I'm allergic to trees. lol.

This is a Blissoma Mild Rice Cleanser-daily facial wash.
This is the first product that doesn't smell like trees, but it does smell natural, it is a lemon scent.
A full size is 4oz and is supposed to be a months supply. It is $19.50

Food! This is Eden Organic Kamut Ditalini pasta
It is high in fiber, high in protein and heart healthy.
$3.14 for 12oz
This is ideal for soups, salads, and casseroles.

Next up is Jeune D'age organics Anti-aging serum
It smooths, hydrates, and firms the skin
$40 for a package of 30 single does packets.
It comes in a little box with flower seeds imbedded in it so you can plant it. Pretty neat.

Next is Zhena's gypsy tea in the flavor Coconut Chai (black tea)
A full size comes with 22 bags for $8.99
I can't wait to try this flavor because I love coconuts and I'm interested to see it paired with chai. I'll let y'all know how it tasted.

All the goodies.
I really love that all the products are eco friendly, not tested on animals, and all natural. I am not loving the scent of most of these items though.

Have you tried out Eco Emi? Let me know your thoughts.

AUGUST Birch Box

My very first Birch Box came!

Let me begin with explaining a little about Birch Box.
Birch Box is a monthly beauty sampling subscription. It's $10 a month, shipping included. You get 4-5 deluxe luxury samples and a "bonus" gift every month.
It's a pretty cool way of trying out new products without buying a full size. A try before you buy, so-to-speak. You also get reward points and can do reviews on products and points as well. If you like any of the products, Birch Box also sells the full size products for a discounted price. Pretty nifty.

*I pay for my subcription with my own money and am doing a haul/review on my own free will*

This is how the Box looks in your mail box. A pretty pink package.

This is what the Box looks like out of the pink box.

This is what it looks like when it's first open.

All the goodies!

My first sample was-June Jacobs Papaya Purifying Enzyme Masque
This smells so good. I can not wait to try this.

The "extra" for this month was a hair band. It is an elastic hair tie that prevents breakage like traditional hair bands and is supposed to not crease your hair.
I am wearing it right now, so we shall see.

Next up was-Ouidad Climate Control, Heat & Humidity Gel
I have pretty frizzy curly hair that I straighten most of the time. I can't wait to try this and see how it holds up against this crazy frizz.

Next was-The Cool Fix-Gel Lotion for ingrown hairs and razor bumps.
I don't suffer from razor bumps, so my hubby will probably try this one out.

And last, but not least, Smasbox Photo Finish foundation primer.
I think I was the most excited about this since I've been looking into face primers.
I can't wait to try this out.

All the goodies.

Btw-This month Box theme was beauty innovations.

Alot of girls haven't been too happy about the contents of this months box, and from looking into boxes from past months, this box does seem a little lack luster, but all in all for my first box, I am pretty happy.
What do you think? Have you signed up with Birch Box? How does this box compare to past boxes? How have the products worked for you?

xoxo
