Nail Of the Day + My Black Friday Haul.

Hello everyone! And welcome to any new subscribers. *waves.*
How was everyone's(in the US) Black Friday and Cyber Monday?
Any crazy stories? Do you go Black Friday shopping?
Tell me your crazy stories.
And do you have any special shopping days in your country?

I thought I'd do a NOTD since I haven't done one in a while, mostly because I change out my polish like it's going out of style....aka: I'm not the best manicurist. haha.
I used this combo and thought I had to share this, it's so pretty and great for fall.

This was what it looked like the second day. Isn't it gorgeous? I had intended only glittering the accent nail, but I thought it was too pretty and glittered the whole hand. haha.
It reminds me of fall and Thanksgiving with the brown and gold together.
I thinking I just might take this off since it's chipped now, and re-do it. I love this combo so much.

Normally I have chips galore, even with Seche Vite top coat.
I actually only used Sally Hansen's 4-in-1 complete care as a top coat and it lasted for days! yay.

I had some minor chipping, but nothing too noticeable to make me change it out completely.

I used Essie's Golden Nuggets.
A fine gold glitter in a clear base, as a top accent coat.

And NARS' Bad Influence.
It dries darker on the nail, my pictures are accurate color. It looks really nice alone, or spiced up with an accent top coat.

And......my Black Friday Haul!

BBW-Not all of it is shown, the Gift Bags are not pictured, but their contents are mostly there.

Now, my Black Friday experience.

My Black Friday came a little early, it was more like Black Thursday.
We wanted to goto Toys-R-Us and pick up a little trampoline for our daughter since she's in gymnastics and she loves the trampoline. They had a little one on sale for $50 and I thought we'd just go, get in, and check out. HA. HA.HA.

We went and made it a little early and I totally underestimated how big of a crowd there would be. I thought for sure, since it opened at 10pm on Thanksgiving Day that everyone would be at home getting ready for all the midnight sales or already at stores like Best Buy.
Mmmm no. People were wrapped around the whole store and back to the front doors. My husband and I decided we'd just come back after we hit good 'Ol Walmart.
That was crazy too. We normally go Black Friday shopping, but never in my life have I seen a place so packed in all my Black Friday years. LOL.
That being said, we've never spent more than one Black Friday in the same state.....we move ALOT.
We've been here for three years now, and this year was pretty crazy....

We swung back by Toys-R-Us and I sent my husband to check it out.
Ay, ay, ay.
They estimated his wait time to check out as 2.5 hours, and that was before he actually got to the trampoline.
We threw in the towel. No trampoline. Hmmph.
BUT, he did get a good story to tell.
A lady ran her cart into another lady because she wasn't paying attention and then proceeded to cuss the lady she hit like it was her fault. The lady called the other lady out and they got into a fight and the cops kicked the lady and her husband out or they were going to be arrested for threatening violence. Ha. Toys-R-Us....

After all that, we decided it would be a good idea to hit the mall up for some Bath & Body Works.
We waited, and waited, and waited. The crown was huge and it was past opening time. The crowd got restless and decided it'd be a good idea to open the doors themselves.
I'm pretty sure every cop in our town was there. The stun gun was brought out and used....the K-9's were there....it was a fun time.
My husband and I saw that they were letting people in at a near store so we snuck off and got in while everyone else was waiting for the main entrance. hehe.

BBW wasn't packed when we first got there so I did what I do best. I shopped and found some awesome deals.
By my picture, you probably think that I spent an arm and a leg. Nope. I actually spent about $80 and got about $500 worth for FREE.
On Black Friday, BBW will let you stack coupons. I am a coupon Queen. I stacked coupons on top of already awesome deals.
Thank you, Thank you. :0)
I've been trying to share my awesome deals with you guys, so whenever I come across a deal, I will be sure to post about it.

And that was our Black Friday.
How was yours?

Sephora Haul & Gift guide

Yeah, I can't stay away from Sephora....heh....heh...
I stumbled upon some great deals and some great gift ideas for the Holidays.

Here we go!

My goods.

You always get an option to get three free samples from Sephora.
I chose Givenchy Play-Eau de toilette and I'm pretty sure that's Justin Timberlake on the package...
It says it's "WOODY FRESH" with Bergamot, Bitter Orange, Grapefruit, Amyris Wood, Coffee Flower Accord Vetyver.

I also chose Juicy Couture- Couture Couture
I don't have the notes readily available on this one...but you can actually get this at TJ Maxx for a really great price. I know Target and Walmart also sell this...I'm pretty sure.

My last choice was Versace-Versus
I don't have the notes for this either...I can't really tell ya what it smells like either since I just sprayed D&G and it's lingering...lol.

Getting samples is a great way to test perfumes to see if you like them before you buy them, so be on the look out for samples!

I got this Dolce & Gabbana- Light Blue travel spray for FREE!
It's a full size travel spray. It's still available and I just used this code again and it still works.
LIGHTBLUE
*You must spend at least $35 in order to get this*

This is .25fl oz. and runs for about $30 alone, so it's a great deal!

Tarte for True Blood Palette
Look at that gorgeous packaging!
This would be an awesome gift for the ultimate Trubie
It's on sale right now for $36 at Sephora and it's normally $52 and is a $331 value!

It has a little secret compartment that says, "OPEN AFTER DARK."
I totally forgot to open it. Oops!
It has a full size emphasEYES aqua gel eyeliner, a little eye primer, and a sample of Lights, Camera, Lashes! mascara.

Look at all the eyeshadows! Gorgeous.

The colors include: Dawn, The Light, Bayou, Charmer, Werewolf, Fairy,
Moss, Telepath, Glamour Me, Waitress, Dusk, Legend, The True Death, Stake, Nocturnal,
V, and Immortal

This is so gorgeous in person, I wasn't expecting it to looks as nice as it did.

Close up

Pictures still are not capturing how gorgeous this palette is.

Okay, I have Bieber Fever and I'm not afraid to admit it.
*blushes*

I got a sample of JB's Someday in one of my Sephora hauls and loved it. I didn't want to spend the money on a full size perfume so I found this: Someday: hair mist.
5fl oz for $20.
I also have the Bauble Bar bracelet that JB wears. *tehe-BFFS*
You can pick that up for $20 at www.baublebar.com

This would be a perfect gift set for the Little Lady in your life....or, your Lady, she could be like me...I'm not ashamed. lol.

Sephora has some great gifts available for the Holidays!
And no, I'm not getting paid by Sephora! LOL...although, as much as I rave about them, I should. haha.

And if you go through Ebates.com you can get 8% cash back!

Listen to your Momager! & Kendall on the Katwalk swatches-Kardashian Kolors

I've been wanting to get these posted for a while, but I just haven't been able to get around to it until now.
*sorry*

Listen to your Momager!
This is a gorgeous blue with tons of micro glitter.

I did two coats and a topcoat
It goes on smooth and is opaque.

It looks so much prettier in person.

Here is a better angle.
The accent nail is Kendall on the Katwalk.
I did two coats and a topcoat of that as well.

 Kendall on the Katwalk
This is a pure glitter polish. It has blue, green, and purple small and micro glitters. It's in a blue base.
The majority of this is blue with a hint of green and purple.
If you check the pics above, the accent finger is Kendall on the Katwalk with no base color under it.

Here is Kendall on the Katwalk over a purple base color.

Over a purple base color.

I really like Listen to your Momager! it goes on very opaque and is good to go in two coats. Kendall on the Katwalk works best on top of a base color. You could wear it alone if you wear three coats, it would be pretty opaque.
I think they are very pretty in person. I really like these two polishes and so far I've liked everything I've bought from the Kardashian Kolors collection.

These are exclusive to Walmart and are $7 each.

Vitabath - In Bloom-Asian orchid & coconut body wash review.

*I received this body wash from Influenster to test and review-this does not influence my opinions*

When I first received this body wash I was initially a little disappointed that I got a floral scent to try out because floral scents normally are too overpowering for me and cause me to get headaches.
I noticed it was also mixed with coconut, and I do love that scent so I still had hope.

I am absolutely in LOVE with this scent! The floral is a sweet scent and not overpowering in the least bit. It does smell alot like the coconut, so if you don't like the scent, you might not like this bodywash option. It isn't an overpowering or overwhelming smell at all, I think it's just right.

A little bit goes a long way and it lathers really nicely.
It has vitamins A, B3, B5, C, and E in it, as well as antioxidants.
It's also paraben and sulfate free.

It left my skin feeling nice and moisturized. I really like this body wash alot.
I'm actually thinking of getting some of these for Christmas gifts.
A 12fl oz bottle is $9.99 and they have tons of scents to choose from.
You can find these at stores like Ulta, Bed Bath & Beyond, and I've also seen these at Military PX's.
Or you could just check out their website :www.myvitabath.com

I really want to try the Cupcake Couture collection. I am a sucker for some bakery scents. Mmmmm. Maybe I shouldn't though, because then I just want to make some cupcakes and eat them all. hahaha.

Have you tried Vitabath body washes before? What are your favorite scents?

ProActiv 3-step system review

Time for a review!

*I received this 30 day Proactiv 3-step system to test through Influenster's Voxbox program, go check it out!*

I was so excited when I received this Proactiv 3-step system in my Cosmo Voxbox a little while ago, I've actually been wanting to try this system for some time now.
I just have a thing with ordering through the TV, but you can order this through the Proactiv website www.proactiv.com , which I didn't know about. I also noticed at some of the malls I've been to have a little kiosk so you might be able to purchase it there.
A 30 day 3-step system is $19.95

This system includes a cleanser, a toner, and a repairing treatment.

The cleansers active ingredient is 2.5% benzoyl peroxide, which is a commonly found in acne treatments. It may cause dryness or irritation so it's recommended to spot check on your skin for about three days to see if you have any adverse reactions. *Please, please, please do a spot test! An allergic reaction could cause your face to swell and that's no fun*
If all is well, it states you should use this twice daily.

The second step is an alcohol free toner. A toner helps remove excess oils and cleans any impurities from your skin.

The third step is a repairing lotion, it also has 2.5% benzoyl peroxide in it. *So, that spot test is a must! :0) *

Okay, now for my experience.

When I first used the cleanser, I used it in the shower. It kind of freaked me out because it has exfoliating crystals in it and I didn't know that. *Should have did the spot test...I know, I know...*
I thought I was having some reaction to it and it was taking my skin off, but it was just the crystals. haha.
I really like that it does exfoliate, it makes me feel like it's cleaning even deeper than just a normal cleanser.

I thought the toner was really soothing on my skin. I've had toners feel a little harsh and sting my face before. This one doesn't have alcohol in it, which I like.

The lotion just feels like a regular moisturizing lotion, it also has benzoyl peroxide in it, so it might dry out your skin.

You're supposed to use the whole system twice a day, but if you're like me and have combination skin or dry skin, I would say try using it less than that.
It did make my skin feel alot dryer, even after the first use.
It also smells like peroxide, after I use it I can still smell it on my face. Ick.

My husband has oily skin and he has been using this as well, and it works wonders for him. It does make his skin dryer, but not dried out.
It has helped both of us with acne.

My final conclusion:
I think if you have acne, you should give this a try.
I think it's more suited for someone with oily skin due to the drying effect of the peroxide. If you have dryer skin but have acne maybe try it once a day or a few times a week.

My husband gives this an A for his skin type
I give this a B+ for my skin type.

OPI-Kardashian Kolors-Disco Dolls swatch

When I started uploading pictures for this post, I had intended on showing a couple of polishes, but I forgot to take pictures of their bottles! What!? How did I miss that?
Anywho, I want to be thorough, so I'll just do a feature on Disco Dolls.

Disco Dolls is a gorgeous Golden Bronze glitter with multi colored glitters (Small glitters look like Rainbow in the S-kylie) *I should have featured that first, huh? lol*

It sparkles so much in person.

I did two coats and a top coat.

This is so much prettier in person, pictures can't capture sparkle very well.

Sorry, my nails are not salon quality, but I am so impatient! Lol.

Disco Dolls is so pretty in person. This is one of my favorites from the Kardashian Kolors Collection.

I give this an A.

Did you pick up any Kolors from the Kardashian line? I have a few I'm going to swatch.

November Birchbox-Getting Gifty

I FINALLY got my November Birchbox in the mail today. Yay!

I was getting pretty worried since it's been sitting at the post office since Thursday. I actually had to stop by the post office to see what was up. With Veteran's Day and Sunday, they just hadn't got to my box yet....anyways, I finally got it today and it was worth the wait.
I have to say this is my favorite box so far.

-Getting Gifty-

Since it took my box so long to get to me, I cheated and looked it up on the BB website.
I would have cheated anyway, who am I kidding?

I got BB#21
I was really shocked that I earned the Baublebar, I didn't do anything extra special other than just reviewing the products. *shrugs* I am super excited about though. I really wanted one.

I got Oscar Blandi-Jasmine Protein Mist-250ml is $18
This came in a 2oz travel size. I love it when they send travel sized items.
I am curious to see how this works. It's supposed to protect, fortify, and revive damp or dry hair.

LaROCCA Skincare-Champagne & Shimmer Body Polish
6.76oz is $35 and this came in .05oz.
It says it features 24K colloidal gold...Oooooh, luxurious.
It smells a little medicine-y though, like when you have a cold and need vapor rub, yeah, like that.

My Bauble Bar! It's made of wood and has a sparkly ball in the center and is on a leather cord. It's actually very nice.

I totally feel like Justin Bieber and I are BFF's now.
You can get this for $20 at:

Klorane-Soothing Eye Makeup Remover with Cornflower
3.4oz goes for $9
They sent a .08fl oz, nice for traveling.
It says it's for sensitive eyes and is paraben free, so that is awesome.

I was so happy to get a nail polish in my box, I think I have an addiction. lol.
Zoya nail polish in Noel.
.5fl oz is $8 and this was .25fl oz.
This is a nice blue denim shimmery shade and it's a Holiday 2011 collection.

My treat was this Chuao Chocolatier-Firecracker Chocopod
The card says it's dark chocolate laced with chipotle and popping candy....hmmm, I am curious to see how this tastes. I don't really like spicy things...
2.8oz goes for $6
This was .39oz

I was very impressed with this months box. This has got to be, hands down, my favorite box so far. I give this box an A+

What did you get in your birchbox? How did you like your box? Did you get the Bauble Bar? Do you feel like you're BFF's with Justin Bieber, too?
