Maybelline- Volum'Express The Colossal-Cat Eyes review

Hey, Everyone.

While I was out and about shopping I stumbled upon Maybelline's new mascara-The Colossal Cat Eyes.

This is a new product for the US, I'm pretty sure this has been released elsewhere for a while now...correct me if I'm wrong. 

The packaging alone drew me in. I'm a sucker for animal prints, what can I say?

I didn't have high hopes though, because Maybelline mascara and I don't get along that well. 

I have rather short stubby lashes and the Maybelline formulas don't do them justice.

But I thought what the heck, it's cheap, I'll try it.

Cute, right?

The packaging says it's formulated with collagen and has a claw brush to help spike out the corner lashes for a cat-like look. 

The results

My thoughts:

Okay, I am not going to lie. When I first tried this mascara out I HATED it.

Like I stated above, I have short stubby little wisp of lashes and all this mascara did was just make them look black.

It didn't add length or volume and I didn't even see spiked out cat-like corner lashes. lol.

You're probably thinking, " But her lashes look pretty nice to me."

I gave the mascara a second chance thinking I was just having a bad lash day. 

The picture is the second time I used the mascara.

The first time I used it I wasn't happy with the look it gave me so I added my favorite mascara on top to see if it would help with the volume and it just added little clumps to my lashes. 

The second time I used three coats and it didn't look too bad, but it's still not my favorite mascara in the world. And I still got little clumps on the ends of my lashes.

If you have thicker, longer lashes, this mascara might work well for you. Or if you like the Maybelline formulas, this would work for you.

I think for the price, this mascara is alright.

I bought it for $5 at walmart.

It's worth giving it a shot if you want to try it out.

But if you ask me, I say pass on it.
